About Ben

I am a property professional working on various property development projects.

After graduating at Plymouth University with a degree in Construction Management & Environment I have worked for a multinational main contracting company in Design Management, BIM Management and Site Management. After this, I worked with a property developer managing the development of 6 houses within an old steam mill in the Cotswolds. More recently, I have fully renovated an 8 bedroom farmhouse in Gloucestershire. Currently, I am developing a new build site into a detatched 3-bed family home in West Oxfordshire.

BACKGROUND

I developed a great interest in construction and property at an early age as a result of being surrounded by various construction projects whilst my parents diversified their farm business. The diversification included the conversion of redundant Cotswold stone farm buildings, such as a stable block, milking parlour, electricity generator house and a smokery into five self-catering holiday cottages. This involved seeing all elements of planning, design, build, services installation, landscaping and maintenance.

During these early years, I had access to a large workshop and a father that had trained as a cabinet maker and woodworking teacher. This allowed me to learn a lot about a wide range of tools/methods of contruction/building and making.
