I recently completed the renovation of an 8 bedroom property in the Cotswolds. The property was renovated over 12 months from April 2020 and it is now a long term let family home.

The works commenced in April 2020 and consist broadly of the following:

  • Reconfiguration of layout to allow for better proportion rooms, ensuites on all rooms where possible. The layout is designed in order for the whole building to operate as either a 2-bed and 6-bed home for different groups, or one large 8-bed home.

  • Upgrades to the thermal performance of the building through replacement of 62 windows from steel crittal to double glazed insulated aluminium frame.

  • New external boiler

  • Upgraded plumbing system to allow for the addition of three extra bathrooms. (Including Accumulator tank, water softner and new efficient hot water cylinder upgrade)

  • Removal of outdated storage heaters and upgrade of system radiators throughout.

  • Rewiring throughout the main section of the building.

  • New Septic Tank

  • Opening up four ground floor rooms into one large kitchen/dining room for entertaining.

  • New guttering

  • Original parquet flooring uncovered and refurbished

  • New estate railing and planting around the garden.
